Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty) Kansas City
What Is Blepharoplasty?
Blepharoplasty is a cosmetic procedure performed on the eyelids to reduce the appearance of excess or drooping skin around the eyes that make make both men and women look older, puffy, or tired all the time. This procedure can be done to improve the look of both eyelids, just upper eyelids, or lower eyelid. This procedure is performed in out Kansas City clinic.
A blepharoplasty is also considered an “eyelift” surgery, because the eyelids are lifted to reduce the appearance of aging and drooping skin around the eyes.
An incision is made within the natural crease of the upper eyelid to create a firmer upper eyelid. The underlying muscles and tissue are later tightened, fat deposits are repositioned, and excess skin is removed. If the lower eyelid is also involved, a second incision is also made to tighten sagging muscles, redistribute fat, and remove excess skin. Read the information below to give you a better idea of what is involved in the eyelid surgery procedure.
